Too Many Dead RosesThrough our guarded eyes
We watch the world we know
Feast upon the truths we choose to show.
And to our small surprise
Whats forgotten is the lies
Cover them in a thick layer of snow.
Who's got time for death?
Memories of the lost?
Sins look pretty with a light dusting of frost.
Lets pretend its nice,
This numbing from the ice,
Look at them freeze as roses are freely tossed.
There are too many dead roses
In the shadow of the stone,
Adding a hint of life to this place of rotting bone.
Petals curl up and die,
They fade with the graying sky,
Rest in peace to the ones which too roses are thrown.
Turn your sight away
And toward the blinding light,
If we follow the sun there is no such thing as night.
Put your hand in mine,
Try to cross the line,
Everything is wrong but everything seem alright.
Feel the growing cold,
Don't question what is told,
Can't see my feet in the snow but I see my breath.
If I close my eyes will I sleep?
Does the wolf deceive sheep?
There are still plenty of roses to
Keep in Touch!
